Sophomore: Janak had a great season on relay teams as well as individually. She led off for the 200 Medley team and finished fourth at the 2008 MWC Championships. Janak also competed in the free style and backstroke events at conference championships. She came in 11th in the 100 back which now is the 5th fastest time at UW in that event. Janak improved on all her previous times from last season and also had the fifth fastest time on the UW roster in the 50 free. She earned her second letter award last season.

Freshman: Janak had a great freshman year, especially down the stretch of the season. She earned a spot on both medley relay teams at the MWC Championships and earned First Team All-MWC honors as a part of the 200 medley relay team that placed third. That 200 medley team also set a new Wyoming record in the event. Individually, she won the consolation final in the 100 backstroke and placed ninth. She earned her first letter award at UW.

High School: Janak left North Platte High School as the record holder in the 100 freestyle, 100 butterfly, 100 backstroke and 200 IM. She was a team captain and was an All-Conference selection as a senior. She lettered in swimming, track and as a member of the dance team. She was also a dance team captain as a senior. She excelled academically and was an honor roll member, a member of the National Honor Society and received academic letters.

Personal: She was born on March 17, 1988 in North Platte, Neb. She is the daughter of Dan and Sherry Janak and has a younger brother, Jake. She is majoring in family and consumer sciences.
