At Wyoming: Sophomore- Shook was selected as a team captain for the 2007-08 season by his teamates following his sophomore season. That season, he earned First Team All-MWC honors in the 400 medley relay, an event in which the Pokes finished third at the 2007 MWC Championships. Individually, he placed 11th in the 400 IM and 14th in the 200 backstroke. He earned his second UW letter award. Freshman- Shook was a major contributor to the Cowboys as a true freshman. At the 2006 MWC Championships he placed ninth in the 400 IM and 14th in the 200 backstroke. He also swam on both medley relay teams at conference. He earned his first letter award at UW. High School: Shook was a four-year Colorado All-State selection. He was a team captain for three years and was a three-time state champion and five-time All-American. Personal: He was born October 8, 1986 in Loveland, Colo. He is the son of Serene and David and has one younger brother, Spencer. He is majoring in history.
