High School: Smith placed fifth in the one-meter event in the Utah State Championship meet in 2006. She was a Utah All-State diver all four years of high school and was a team captain as a sophomore and senior. She holds the Alta High School record in the one-meter (11 dives) event with a score of 442.55. She qualified for the 2007 West Junior National Championships after placing fifth in Region 10 in the one-meter event. She was also a Junior National alternate in the three-meter event after placing ninth in Region 10. She was a member of the Alta Honor Roll and was an Academic All-State selection as a senior. She competed for the Tuck Diving Club. Personal: She was born on Nov. 24, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio. She is the daughter of Cindy and David and has an older sister, Ashley. She is majoring in mathematics. |
