LARAMIE, Wyo. -

Brenna Dooley

What's your major?
"Secondary education and social studies."

When did you start running and did you do cross country?
"7th grade and no, I didn't start cross country until I got to college."

What are your plans after you graduate?
"Hopefully to be a teacher and a coach, track."

What other hobbies do you have?
"I like to go fishing."

Give me one reason to visit Worland for someone that has never been there before?
"It is where Aquavista water is bottled. I worked at the water plant this summer."

Do you have any pre-race rituals before you start running?
"Just eating pasta. A lot of pasta two days before."

Whats on your ipod?
"Jack Johnson is on right now, but I also like country."

What was the last concert you went to?
"This is really embarrassing but I went to Rod Stewart with my mom."

Most of the teams have a three month season. Track and Cross Country are all year long. How do you keep focus?
"It is a lot more dedication throughout the whole year. In track I run shorter distances, such as the 800 and the 1,500 meter races. There is different training for each event, and it keeps me interested with a lot of cross training."

What do you do for cross training?
"Like aqua jogging in the pool and biking. That help change it up from just running."

Chipotle or Qdoba?
"Qdoba!"

What did you order?
"Chicken burrito."

What type of shoe do you prefer to run in?
"I would say Asics."

Gatorade or water?
"Water."

What do you think about half way through a race?
"That is definitely the hardest part of the race, so I try just to focus. You already know what is coming...the pain. I try to go after more people during that time of the race, since that's when people are weak."

Do you find it hard to balance track and school?
"No, it just takes good time management."
