A newcomer to the Cowgirl squad and the sport of cross country. Has shown major improvement and will add depth to the team. Byra lettered in cross country and track as a senior at Laramie High School. She placed fourth in the 3,200 meters and sixth in the 1,600 meters at the Wyoming state indoor meet, while finishing fifth in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters at the outdoor meet. Also, was selected the Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year by the Laramie Quarterback Club. She was coached in high school by Emily Willems and Greg Schabron. An excellent student, she was a member of the National Honor Society and the honor roll. |
