Thompson is poised to have a great senior seaon for Wyoming. She will be relied upon to be a leader in the UW distance corps.

Jennifer was the top runner for the Cowgirl cross country team in '03. Placed 18th (23:00) at the 2003 MWC XC Championships. She set a career best time in the 6k race with a time of 22:33. Ran the 1,500 meters (4:51.54) and 5,000 meters (16:59.77) during the '04 outdoor season.

In spring of 2003 she held the top Cowgirl time in the indoor 3,000 meters (10:15.98) and outdoor 5,000 meters (17:42.82).
