A.J. Davis Signs National Letter of Intent with Wyoming Basketball

University of Wyoming basketball coach Heath Schroyer announced on Monday that A.J. Davis has signed a national letter of intent with the Wyoming basketball program and will enroll at UW in the Fall of 2008.

"I am really excited about adding A.J. Davis to the program," said Schroyer.

University of Wyoming head basketball coach Heath Schroyer announced on Tuesday that sophomore guard Eric Platt from Casper, Wyo., and sophomore center Travis Nelson from Marion, Iowa, are leaving the Cowboy Basketball program to pursue their collegiate basketball careers at other programs.

Wyoming's Brandon Ewing Earns All-District VIII Honors From the USBWA

University of Wyoming junior guard Brandon Ewing has received All-District VIII honors from the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) for the second consecutive season. The USBWA announced its 2008 Division I All-District Teams this past week.

Ewing was one of 10 individuals named to the All-District VIII Team.

For the second consecutive year, Wyoming's Brandon Ewing was named Second Team All-Mountain West Conference in a vote by MWC head coaches and media members. Ewing averaged 16.2 points per game in conference play this season to rank fourth in the league. He also handed out 3.50 assists per game against conference opponents to rank sixth in the Mountain West.

University of Wyoming junior guard Brandon Ewing has received 2008 All-District 13 honors from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as announced by the organization this week.

Ewing was named to the All-District 13 Second Team for the second consecutive season.
