The Spring Game featured the No. 1 offense against the No. 2 defense and the No. 2 offense against the No. 1 defense in a scrimmage that lasted 86 plays.

The Wyoming offense had a successful day running the ball, while the Cowboy defense was able to force four fumbles, recovering three of them for turnovers in the first scrimmage of spring drills on Saturday. Approximately 90 total plays were run in the scrimmage that lasted a little bit over two hours and was held in UW's new Indoor Practice Facility.

Wyoming Spring Football will be featured in an eight-part series to be televised on The Mountain West Sports Network (The Mtn.) beginning Wednesday, April 16 through Wednesday, June 4.

The Mtn. will televise Wyoming Spring Football on its "Reaching the Peak" series.

Season-ticket renewals for the 2008 Wyoming Cowboy Football season were mailed to season-ticket holders earlier this week. There are seven home games in the season-ticket package this season. The only other time Wyoming hosted seven home games in a single season was 1990.

Wyoming Cowboys to Conduct First Spring Scrimmage on Saturday

After conducting 10 spring practices, including a practice on Friday, the Wyoming Cowboy Football team will conduct its first scrimmage of spring this Saturday, April 12 at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie. Saturday's practice will begin at 1 p.m., with the scrimmage portion of practice beginning at approximately 1:30.

Toledo Added to Wyoming Football Schedules in 2010 and 2012

University of Wyoming Athletics Director Tom Burman announced on Wednesday that the University of Toledo and Wyoming have agreed to a two-game series in football. The series will begin on Oct. 2, 2010, when Wyoming will travel to Toledo, Ohio, to take on the Rockets. On Sept. 8, 2012, Toledo will travel to Laramie, Wyo. Toledo is a member of the Mid-American Conference (MAC) West Division.

University of Wyoming Athletics Director Tom Burman and University of Texas Athletics Director DeLoss Dodds announced on Friday that the Wyoming Cowboys and Texas Longhorns have agreed in principle to a three-game football series beginning in 2009. The series will begin with Wyoming hosting Texas in Laramie on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009.

One of the most attractive and historic slate of games in school history will highlight the University of Wyoming's 2008 football schedule. For only the second time in school history, the Wyoming Cowboys will play seven home games in 2008. The only previous time the Wyoming Cowboys hosted seven home games in one season was in 1990. Among those seven home games will be contests versus rivals Air Force, Utah and archrival Colorado State.

Wyoming Cowboys to Conduct First Practice in Full Pads on Saturday

After two days of practice in no pads, the Wyoming Cowboy Football team will conduct its first practice in full pads this spring on Saturday, March 29 at 1 p.m. Saturday's practice is scheduled to begin outside in War Memorial Stadium, but part of Saturday's practice may move inside to the Indoor Practice Facility for the seven-on-seven and team portions of practice. All practices are open to the public.
