Steven Suder Resigns as Wyoming Wrestling Coach

University of Wyoming Athletics Director Tom Burman announced on Tuesday that head wrestling coach Steven Suder is resigning his position at the University of Wyoming to pursue other interests.

Suder has served as head coach of the Cowboy wrestling program for the past 19 years.

Shufelt will become the number two assistant while Ben VomBaur will be elevated to the number one assistant. The Wyoming Cowboy Wrestling team will show off their talents at the NCAA Championships this week in St. Louis, Mo. The Cowboys will be sending two wrestlers to compete in the 2008 NCAA Tournament. Wyoming lost their third WWC dual of the year Saturday afternoon as the Pokes fell to the Air Force Academy Falcons 21-12 on senior night at Cadet East Gym in Colorado Springs. The Cowboys slip to 2-3 in WWC action and 3-9 overall while the Falcons improved to 3-2 in the WWC and 9-9 overall.

#21 Ranked Titans Too Much for Wyoming

The Wyoming grapplers knew they were up against a national powerhouse in Cal State Fullerton headed into Saturday night's non-conference dual. Nonetheless, the Cowboys were able to come away with three victories, but the 21st ranked Titans proved to be too much as they defeated Wyoming 33-10 at the UniWyo Sports Complex in Laramie.
