2006-07... Bernal had an exceptional junior season in which he was second in wins for the Cowboys with a record of 22-15. He recorded four major decisions, which was also second on the team and had one pin and one technical fall...
2005-06... After transferring to UW from Lehigh University, Bernal had a 4-5 record overall and was 3-2 in duals with two pins. He was an NCAA wild card selection in the 174 pound weight class for the Pokes.
2003-05... He was a member of the Lehigh University Wrestling squad, but had no stats.
High School... Bernal was a two-sport athlete at Fruita Monument High School in Colorado. He wrestled all four years, was the Colorado State Champion his senior year and the team MVP all four years. Was an All-Conference and All-State Honorable Mention selection his senior year in football. Bernal was a four-year Academic Letterman and three year National Honor Society Member.
Personal... Born March 6, 1985 in Loma, Colo. One of three children of Miki and Joseph Bernal. He is majoring in marketing.
