2007-08 (Freshman): Black, a true freshman, immediately contributed this fall to a Cowgirl squad that broke school records for team single round score and event total. She played in all five fall tournaments. Molly is long off the tee and should continue to mature her game after gaining valuable experience and confidence during the fall season. Her best finish came at the MDA Invitational where she finished 18th of 84 golfers, totaling 233 (+17). Black's low round of the fall also came at that event, a second round score of 74 (+2).

High School: Molly was one of the most highly decorated golfers to come out of the Pacific Northwest in 2007. She played on the 2006 America's Cup Team, representing Oregon, and also represented her home state in the Trusted Choice Big I National Championship. During the summer of 2007 she played the Oregon Am and Pacific Northwest Golf Association's Women's Am, as well as being paired with Senior PGA Tour Professional Jay Haas at the Jeld-Wen Tradition's Junior Shoot-Out. In 2005 Black placed second at the girls PNGA Championship and she participated in the 2006 Junior World Championship in San Diego, again representing the state of Oregon. Molly lettered four years in golf at Summit H.S. She is a four-year All-District and All-State selection, and led her team to the class 4A Oregon state title in 2006 and 2007. Her Summit High team won three straight District championships. Individually, Molly was runner-up at state as a senior. Black was an excellent high school student who earned numerous academic accolades, including Academic All-State for four years.

Personal: She is the daughter of Gordon and Rosalie Black, and has five siblings. Her sister Jessica plays golf for Washington State University. Black chose to attend Wyoming over Oregon, Gonzaga and Fresno State. She is majoring in journalism at UW.
