This Season: One of five returning letterwinners to the team. She gained valuable experience in her first season and has worked hard to improve her game. Will compete for a spot in the line-up. Had a solid outing in the fall as she finished 7-4 overall, which including a five match winning streak. Made it to the finals of the Cougar Classic falling to fellow teammate, Michelle Brown. In doubles play, she and partner Jamie Nelson finished with a 5-3 record overall.
Freshman (2006-07): Finished the fall season with a 4-5 singles mark and a 2-1 doubles record with fellow Cowgirl Jamie Nelson. Got her first Division I win over Jessica Laco of Air Force (9/23/06). Won her first match in the Central Regional Tournament qualifying draw, defeating Greer Satherlie of Colorado State. Played in just four matches during the spring and went 1-3. Her overall singles record was 5-8, at the sixth position, and her doubles mark was 2-4. Chaix played in two matches during Mountain West Conference play.
High School: One of the top high school players in Mexico, she was ranked as high as fourth in the girls 18 and under category. She has played in several ITF tournaments, while at least reaching the round of 16 in those events. She was coached by Alejandro Sandoval.
Personal: She is the daughter of Carlos and Blanca Chaix. Born August 15, 1987 in Mexico City, Mexico. Has one brother, Jose. Undecided on a college major.
