UW This Season: Another newcomer to the Cowgirl program this season...fills an immediate need at the middle blocker position...will have to adjust to the speed of the college game, but expect her to make an impact in the program.
High School: A two-time First Team South Puget Sound League selection during her career at Spanaway Lake High School...as a senior, she was also selected to the Washington State Coaches 3A/4A All-State Team and was named the Tacoma News Tribune Player of the Year...in 2006, she helped her team to a sixth place finish at the state tournament and a fourth place finish during her sophomore season...a four-year letterwinner in volleyball, she was a two-time team captain as well...was coached in high school by Ali Sheneman...also earned three letters in basketball...an excellent student, she was a member of the National Honor Society and on the honor roll throughout high school...played Club Volleyball with the Puget Sound Gold 18 Team which was coached by Travis Sessler.
Personal: Full name is Chantilly H. Watson...born May 6, 1989 in Honolulu, Hawaii..the daughter of Matthew and Lila Watson...has three sisters, Crystal, Chloe and Gloria...plans to major in business administration.
